That is a dance done by the top six of season two of So You Think You Can Dance. I am a dancer and dance is very important to me. When you dance you feel through your dance and I think this number shows what the performers are feeling very well. I think that through dance many pieces, especially this one, can say a lot in one number. Dance is a way of helping people deal with emotions and in this dance it shows. Notice in the beginnig when the dancers have their hands on each others shoulder. I feel like it really reaches out to people who have ever been oppressed and marginalized. You can take the piece to heart and think of it in any way you wish. With the dancers wearing black costumes with words such as courage and strength, this can be directed toward any group being marginalized or trying to speak out and get there voices heard. It is a little different, but I hope you enjoy.

I agree with you about the arts and emotions - but not only can the arts help us express emotions they can also be considered a form of resistance ... we will take a look examples of that in the upcoming weeks.
Thanks for bringing this to us.

I think that this artifact is really interesting because it isn't something you would typically think of. Having friends that are dancers I know that dance is a great outlet for emotions and from watching this video it is clear that dance can also provoke strong emotions. Really interesting choice
